Where it began
Songs since her teens, and a beat-up van
Solly started writing songs in her teens.
Her sound took shape over years of busking, gigging and travelling in a beat-up van, playing to whoever stopped to listen.
Folk is the ground it grows from, and rock gives it its colour.
She plays guitar and piano and sings, and she writes with clarity, courage and emotional depth.

The training
Classical voice, and a sense of theatre
Solly studied Classical Vocal Studies at the Elder Conservatorium in Adelaide.
In 2025, APRA AMCOS selected her as 1 of 14 mentees in its 23% mentorship program for women and gender diverse music creators.
It's part of more than 10 years of performing and performance training, across voice, guitar, piano, acting and theatre, in classical and rock alike.
The same range runs through her covers, which reach from the 1950s to today across rock 'n' roll, country, pop and classical.
She brings the theatre to every live set too, with rugs to mark out her space, fairy lights and vines wound around the keyboard and mic stand, and an outfit chosen for the occasion.
Nothing is ever truly lost. Things only end when we let them.
Into Halves
The album she set aside, and the 4 songs she kept
In late 2024, Solly set her first album aside.
She carried forward only the 4 songs that were fully hers, and they became the foundation of Into Halves.
From the ashes of that first record, she grew something stronger, and unmistakably hers.
Into Halves explores the split between who she performs as and who she really is.
Its 4 tracks are Into Halves, Sore Loser, High Maintenance and He Eats Her Alive, which was her third single.
You can hear the EP, and book her songs for a venue or festival, on the original show page.

The launch
Into Halves, live at The Jade
On Sunday 19 July 2026, Solly launched Into Halves at The Jade in Adelaide, to a full room.
She played all 4 songs and 6 unreleased tracks, with Oliver Vickers opening and special guest Teresa.
The stage wore her visual set, with a patterned rug underfoot and vines wound around the keyboard.
Who it's for
Contemporary folk for the unmoored
Her music speaks to anyone still finding their footing, and to the persistence it takes to keep going.
The unmoored
For anyone cut loose from the life they expected, and finding their own way back to shore.
Children of divorce
For those who grew up between 2 homes and learned early how to carry both.
Those quietly rebuilding
For the people putting a life back together, piece by piece, while the world carries on around them.
Dreamers who keep going
For anyone fighting for their dreams while simply surviving, and holding on to both.
Behind the scenes
Who arrives to set up
At a live show, Edward looks after the technical side and the lighting, so Solly can focus on the performance.
Solly brings her own PA, unless the venue supplies one, and all she needs is a power outlet and a space at least 2.3 metres wide and 1.6 metres deep.
For the original show, Solly usually plays as a duo with a violinist, and a fuller band can join her for festivals.

From Solly
Book me for your day
Every gig I play goes back into my own music, so booking me helps the next songs get made.
I play sets of 1 to 3 hours on guitar alone, or guitar and piano, with a big, rich sound from a compact set-up.
My covers run from Elvis Presley to Chappell Roan, I take song requests, and I tailor every set to the room.
I bring the visual set with me, so the corner I play in is dressed like a small stage.
I play weddings, corporate events, venues and wineries, markets and festivals, private functions and aged care across Greater Adelaide and the Adelaide Hills.
Venues and festival programmers can book my own songs, live, as the original show.
Press and radio will find bios, photos and logos ready to use in my press kit.
