Long bio
Solly Fern is a contemporary folk pop artist from South Australia who reminds listeners that nothing is ever truly lost: things only end when we let them.
Her music speaks to the power of persistence, to those quietly rebuilding, and to anyone fighting to keep their dreams alive while simply surviving.
A guitarist, pianist and vocalist, Solly writes with clarity, courage and emotional depth.
Her sound is grounded in folk and coloured by rock, shaped by years of busking, gigging, and travel in a beat-up van.
Solly began songwriting in her teens and left classical vocal studies in 2020 to pursue her own path.
In 2025, Solly was awarded a place in the APRA AMCOS 23% Mentorship Grant.
In 2026, she released her debut EP, Into Halves, exploring the split between who she performs as and who she really is.
Solly's music speaks to children of divorce, the unmoored, and anyone fighting for their dreams while simply surviving.
From the ashes, Solly grows something stronger, something unmistakably hers.
